Wood Cottage, Tenbury Wells

The house was perfect for our gathering. It was our mums 90th so we had booked another property on the farm and also a property a couple of miles away and also a local b b for other family members. We were then able to host a gathering of family members over the weekend. Only the people booked for the property stayed overnight although I did hear reports that the owner was unhappy that so many people were parked at our property and they were concerned that more people would stay overnight than were booked in. We would never abuse hospitality in this way, being responsible adults. We never actually met the owner ourselves during the entire stay. We booked the house because of the ample parking advertised, the size of the reception areas and the very secure garden for the children We had everything we needed, the house was lovely and very comfortable. We left the house spotless. All, in all an excellent stay. However we would be reluctant to return due to the negativity of the owner .

The house was booked for 8 friends to celebrate a 50th birthday. It's situated in beautiful peaceful surroundings. It offered everything we needed and more. The property was very clean and tidy, beds were comfortable and showers were fab. The owners Jane & Colin were so helpful both from before we arrived and during our stay. We would definitely book again and would highly recommend. Thank you

Ten out of ten for an amazing stay! We were two couples with eight kids and we had an awesome time! Beautiful cottage, spacious and clean. The hot tub was amazing and the house is totally secluded from any other property which was a big plus for us adding to a real holiday feel! Thank you Jane for a beautiful time had by all!

If you are looking for a restful holiday in a lovely countryside location look no further. We have enjoyed a quiet week in the comfort of this spacious cottage surrounded by nature and amazing views of the hills and valleys in the distance. Everything was so quiet around yet we were only 12 minutes from Tenbury and all necessary amenities.

Superb house, beautiful and clean and the location was perfect for a relaxing weekend.

A fantastic weekend at Wood Cottage. Everything was perfect. The hosts were very accommodating, showed us how everything worked and then left us to it but were only a phone call away if we needed anything. The house is very secluded, down a farm track with stunning scenery. There is plenty of crockery and glassware etc and the beds were very comfortable. It was a truly wonderful weekend, thank you.

Lovely property with the best views

Fantastic property set in the most beautiful, tranquil surroundings. Perfect for nature lovers and stargazing. Colin and Jane were very friendly and helpful. Our highlights were watching the lambs playing in the field opposite the house and the Red kites giving us a fabulous hunting display.

Wonderful cottage in a beautiful setting in the countryside near to Tenbury Wells. Plenty of room for everyone. Clean and peaceful with the added bonus of the hot tub.

We had a lovely stay at Wood Cottage. It was clean, comfortable and very roomy. The views are spectacular. We'd love to visit again, maybe in the summer.

Despite the snow outside we were very warm and cosy in the cottage. The showers were good and there was plenty of hot water for our needs. The cottage was well supplied with cooking equipment and utensils. The property was very clean and had comfortable beds. The owners live on the adjacent farm and are very helpful. The approach to the property is through the owners farm yard. At the end of the farm buildings is a dirt track which bends to the left around some trees. The cottage is at the end of this track. The country side views from the house are spectacular. I will definitely consider booking this property again.

Really loved staying here for the weekend to celebrate my 30th Birthday. The house and views were gorgeous. Everywhere was clean and had everything we needed for the weekend stay. The hot tub was a perfect way to spend our evenings! Everyone loved it. Would book again!

We stayed there as group of 6 couples in our early 30s. We came to the area for a wedding and it was a fantastic house in a truly stunning location. Its off the beaten track and the benefit of this means you are completely surrounded by beautiful scenery and views. Also means we could be out in the hot tub till 1am with no worries that wed get noise complaints.

Absolutely amazing place, everything was just as it was advertised. Just a tranquil space with great walks. The owners were so lovely and informative about the local area and gave us good guidance as to some great dog friendly pubs. Overall an excellent location with an excellent home.

Absolutely perfect! We were a group of 9 for a hen party. It was so clean, beautiful and comfortable. It is so rural and naturally stunning perfect for looking at the stars in a large hot tube suitable for 7 people! Great clear instructions inside and we had access to contact numbers if we needed anything. It was really excellent, I would book again for sure. Thank you so much!

A lovely property in a quiet and tranquil spot. Excellent facilities and well presented

Wood cottage was an excellent location for our family holiday. 3 generations had a wonderful time in the clean, well maintained, spacious and comfortable cottage. The children had plenty of space both indoors and outdoors to expend their energy and loved seeing the farm animals and tractors. We were totally satisfied with our stay and the local recommendations made by the property owner were useful. We were very lucky with the weather and only had one wet day. The only suggestion we would make for improvement would be to place a smart tv in one lounge so that on wet days if other families have a succession of these! children's programmes could be accessed on Iplayercatch up etc. Thank you.

A beautiful house in beautiful surroundings! We were provided with everything we needed for a home from home stay. The host Jane greeted us to go through things and explain how a few things worked. If there were any problems I could phone and she would come and sort it. Thankfully everything was perfect. We had a great time celebrating a big surprise birthday in our party of 8. Colin and Jane kindly let us arrive a little sooner than check in to prepare for our guest of honours arrival. All the rooms and sitting areas were clean and tidy. The kitchen was great and we had plenty of kitchenware for cooking. The hot tub was lovely too and very clean. Some of my family mentioned the mattresses were a little on the firm side for our liking but otherwise we all slept well. Overall a great place to stay and relax in beautiful surroundings. Thankyou Jane and Colin we will most likely be returning soon! X

Property was very nice , kitchen was fully equipped a coffee machine and air fryer would bring it up to date with modern living. I would not stay at this property again because of the creaking floors upstairs ,every single room was really really noisy with every step you took in every room and the landing area,we were travelling with babies and walking around upstairs was so noisy it would wake them up ,you knew exactly where people were walking around upstairs it was so noisy and a toilet break in the night ment you woke everyone up by just walking to the bathroom! , beds were very small just a double in the main bedroom , my husband is 6ft and could not stretch his legs down as the bed had a high rail at the bottom the bed , this bedroom has plenty of room for a king size bed .New front door needed as the seal has dropped and let in a gale force wind . Owners were very friendly and left us a lovely basket of wine and biscuits, we stayed over the Christmas period and the property was all dressed up with a Christmas tree ect which was lovely , views from this property are absolutely beautiful .we were a family of 9 and had plenty of space for us all to sit and chill.

We chose Wood cottage for a family weekend, as an early celebration for my husbands 70th Birthday, and what a great choice it was. The cottage is at the end of a farm track, in a beautiful position, totally on it's own, so we didn't have to worry about our grandchildren being too noisy or the dog barking. The Hot Tub was the hit of the weekend, and was very well used, amazing to sit back in the evening and watch all the stars, satellites etc, with no light pollution. The house is very well equipped, very spacious, comfortable & exceptionally clean. All the beds were comfortable, plenty of wardrobe space, chest of drawers etc. The loungesitting room is huge, and can easily fit everyone in, which was great. The owner, Jane, came and introduced herself, and asked if we had everything we needed, explained about the hot tub, and the central heatingwater, as well as giving us some local information, days out etc. Tenbury Wells is the closest town, it's a pretty little market town, the countryside from the farm to the town, was so pretty. We had a lovely Chinese take away from the Singapore Garden,& a great Sunday Roast at The Feathers, on the way into Tenbury Wells You will need to book this, very popular We didn't really go out and about much, as we felt so comfortable and relaxed in the cottage, we didn't need to! We walked down to the farm, as my grandson wanted to show us all the machinery, animals etc. We met Colin, Jane's husband & the farmer as the boys called him! who was also very friendly, and happy to chat about the farm. If I had to be picky, the only couple of things would be that the bath towels were very small, and the duvets are well worn, and could do with changing. But we all agreed we would love to return to Wood Cottage, maybe in the summer, and a Christmas there would be amazing. Thanks to Colin & Jane for lending us your beautiful cottage.

We had a wonderful stay at Woody Cottage! We loved how cosy and homely it felt and it had absolutely everything we needed. Jane was so friendly and the setting was so beautiful being surrounded by countryside and sheep. We left feeling really refreshed and rejuvenated. We've already booked to come again!

This was a fantastic cottage, plenty big enough for the 8 of us, all adults. The bedrooms are well appointed, the showers were great. The social areas down stairs were perfect for being in doors. The owner was very friendly welcoming and helpful. We loved staying here and would definitely come again and recommend it to all lager parties. Thank you Jane & Phil

Hi the only downside was the dirt track to the Property it would be nice if it was gravel as I had to remove o large amount of mud from my wheel arches on return. I do understand that its on farm land so have to accept that. On the whole we enjoyed our stay. The only criticism raised was the use of the hot tub. If you were staying until the Monday the last time you could use the hot tub is 1pm on the Sunday?

Had a very enjoyable stay in this lovely house. The hot tub was great and due to the remote spot this house is it beautiful for star gazing.Very helpful owners. .

A very nice cottage set in the middle of a farm. The proprietor was very helpful and was always at hand if we needed advice or any other information. All in all a very nice stay.

An absolutely gorgeous property in a fabulous location. Really clean and comfortable.hot tub amazing .a window in one bedroom would not open and so guest was extremely hot and found it difficult to sleep..also could do with some more loo rolls and maybe some plastic champagne flutes for celebrating at parties . Wonderful time had by all ..thank you

Amazing property, a huge amount of space and we couldn't think of anything it was missing, possibly a permanent rain cover for using the hot tub in the rain? But even then it was still perfect, on a nice day we didn't leave the patio area The owners were very helpful and informative on the local area and there's no worries about noise with how perfectly out of the way the house is. Won't complain about all the adorable sheep in the surrounding fields either!

Absolutely loved Wood Cottage, beautiful house and stunning setting. We stayed in Lambing season and it was so lovely to sit and watch the lambs with a nice coffee in the morning. There was a party of ten of us for a Hen Party and we had a fabulous weekend. The house is very well equiped with everything you need. The hot tub was amazing and very well used. We were greeted on arrival and given all the info we needed. Would definately recommend Wood Cottage, you will not be disappointed. Thank you for a fabulous weekend.

We had the best weekend staying at Wood Cottage celebrating my mum's 60th birthday. The cottage itself was perfect, can't fault it. There was loads of space, beds were comfy, the cleanliness was excellent. The owners have provided everything you could possibly need from kitchen equipment to games. We loved the hot tub! We also have two young children and were very appreciative of the cot, high chair and the owner even provided a stair gate when we asked for one. Finally being on a working farm at this time of year was really special, we got to see tiny lambs who had just been born and the dogs were so friendly. My son is usually very shy and wary of animals but the dogs were so friendly he was stroking them and playing with them by the end of the weekend. Thank you so much for a memorable weekend!
